The Sad Lament of an Anti-Vaxxer

I read this on Facebook on 15 August 2023. The author, Richard Moskowitz, MD, has given me permission to republish it here. It provides a full explanation and justification for everyone who wishes to be an "anti-vaxxer, or as I prefer to say, to remain "vaccine free".

An Anti-Vaxxer’s Sad Lament

Those of you who know me or are familiar with my work know that I’ve been questioning the scientific basis of vaccinations for over forty years,(1), and that my concerns about them go beyond the side effects of this or that vaccine to the nature of the vaccination process per se. In short, I am that rare case of an honest-to-God “anti-vaxxer,” unlike the vast majority of those unjustly stigmatized with that label, such as the parents of vaccine-injured children, whose only mistake was to have done exactly what they were told, and suffered the devastating consequences of it: “ex-vaxxers” would be a more appropriate term for them.

While I’ve always felt for them and advocated for their cause, my problem with vaccines goes beyond the moral and political duty of redressing the harm that they suffered, to the issue of scientific truth, based on 50+ years of experience as a family doctor, and amply supported by articles in the medical literature, albeit largely unread and ignored. (2).

I am far from claiming that what I’ve come to believe about them is the complete and final truth; but I do think such views deserve serious consideration, rather than the ridicule and censorship that they commonly receive. So I will begin by summarizing my findings here.

The idea of vaccinating sounds attractive, as a way of preventing large populations from coming down with and suffering from acute infectious diseases, especially the most serious ones like smallpox, diphtheria, and polio, which have killed or maimed so many people who came down with them.

But vaccines are now so numerous and widely used, even for the common diseases of childhood, that we seldom remember or think to compare how they act with the natural process of coming down with and recovering from the natural diseases, which are acute phenomena of relatively short duration, involving fever and a collaborative effort of various immune mechanisms, and culminating in the expulsion of the offending foreign organism from the body.  This result cannot be achieved by any one of these mechanisms operating independently of the others.

The natural immunity that results from it is specific, in the familiar sense of protecting the patient against future outbreaks of the same disease, just as vaccines claim to do.  Less obvious but even more important is its non-specific effect, priming the immune system to respond acutely, vigorously, and in concerted fashion to whatever other infections we are exposed to in the future.

That wouldn’t seem like that big of a deal, except for research that few doctors or patients are aware of, showing that those who come down with and recover from measles, mumps, chickenpox, influenza, and other common acute diseases of childhood are much less likely to develop chronic, autoimmune diseases and cancer later in life than those who are merely vaccinated against them. (3)

If true, that tells us that vaccinating is not the way to develop a healthy immune system; and we’re much better off learning how to get sick than vaccinating everybody against everything simply because we have the technical know-how to do so.

In contrast, whatever good vaccines may accomplish depends on one thing only, producing specific antibodies in significant quantities over long periods of time, bypassing if not dysregulating all the other collaborative mechanisms. It thus necessarily falls far short of duplicating the natural immunity that good health depends on.

When a vaccine is injected intramuscularly, there is a brief inflammatory reaction at the injection site, but no local sensitization of the nasopharynx and its epithelium, no co-ordinated mobilization of phagocytes, cytokines, and serum complement, no overt illness, and thus, above all, no reliable mechanism or pathway for getting rid of it. After 14 days or so, yes, there are likely to be measurable titers of specific antibodies in the blood; and, yes, the recipients of many though not all vaccines will be somewhat less likely to come down with the corresponding acute disease, at least in the near future, than they were before.

But without the acute illness, there is no concerted activation of the cellular system, no priming of the immune mechanism as a whole, no improvement in the general health, no encrypted memory of the infection, and again, no means of expelling the invading viruses, bacteria, or bioengineered fragments derived from them.

Where the vaccine actually goes, how it persuades the antibody-producing cells to continue doing their work over extended periods of time, as it was designed to do, and what price we have to pay for these antibodies and the partial, temporary semblance of immunity that they provide, are questions that it seems we're not supposed to ask, can expect haughty contempt or righteous indignation if we do, and haven't been convincingly answered in any way that helps the public to understand.

What continues to haunt me about the vaccination process is the obvious fact that, unlike the diseases it is supposed to prevent, vaccination is and must be a chronic phenomenon, in that its intended result of achieving continuous antibody synthesis for months and years afterward would seem to require that either the vaccine substance itself or at the information that it conveys remain active inside the body for at least that long.

It’s worth asking how such long-term carrier states might be achieved, and what effect they might have on the health of vaccine recipients; but for now I’ll just add that it’s dangerously misleading, if not the exact opposite of the truth, to claim that vaccines render us immune to acute diseases, if in fact they merely drive the invading organisms or toxic derivatives of them deep into our vital organs and cause us to harbor them chronically if not permanently instead.

My reluctance to vaccinate originated with a gut feeling that I couldn’t explain, while the hypothesis formulated above was the logical conclusion of a sabbatical year of visiting the immunology that I was never taught in med school.  But it didn’t really come alive for me until I began seeing a lot of chronically sick children in my practice.4

With so many vaccines being given, several of them even simultaneously at the same visit, it was practically impossible to identify a specific vaccine or component as the culprit, as doctors are trained to do; and it didn’t immediately occur to me to think about the vaccination process itself.  There are a lot of reasons why that link was difficult to see even when I looked for it.

What started me thinking about it was seeing so many kids given vaccines on the approved schedule who were reacting non-specifically to them, by developing a more intense or prolonged version of whatever chronic diseases they were already bothered by.  What still threw me off, even then, was that they all reacted in a characteristic manner that was peculiar to them, no matter which vaccine was given, which disease they had, or how severely they suffered from it.

Eventually I discovered that any vaccine would do, and that several different ones would have the same effect for that child, while the diseases involved ran the whole gamut of pediatric practice, might also attack the unvaccinated, and be brought on by environmental toxins and pollutants as well.

Another source of confusion was simply that chronic diseases tend to wax and wane idiosyncratically, not on any preformed or regular schedule.  The only way to see the causal role of vaccines was to treat the children with herbs, acupuncture, or homeopathy until they recovered and were essentially symptom-free for several months.

Then and only then, consistently enough to be the rule, their old disease pattern would recur promptly and dramatically after their next vaccination, whatever it was, such that its causal role became obvious to the parents and anyone else paying attention.  Suppressing the main symptoms with pharmaceutical drugs didn’t clean the slate sufficiently to achieve that clarity.

With the specific effects of each individual vaccine thus essentially hidden, and doctors distracted from considering the generic effect of the vaccination process, they readily fall into line with the industry’s agenda of piling on as many vaccines as we see fit.

Yet investigating the safety of vaccinating against everything, of the process itself, would require nothing more elaborate than comparing the all-cause morbidity and mortality, the overall rate of death and chronic disease, in vaccinated and unvaccinated populations.  The public surely deserves to be told, if only to discredit nay-sayers like me, why our nation, which yields to none in its professed commitment to science, has never seen fit to undertake such an obvious study, even though if not precisely because it could resolve the issue once and for all.

To summarize, then, my clinical experience strongly suggests that all vaccines, whatever benefits may be ascribed to them, are regularly and significantly implicated in initiating, exacerbating, and reactivating the innumerable chronic diseases of our time. If that much is true, it follows as night from day that subjecting whole populations to repeated doses of more and more of them, with no end in sight, is adding continuously and exponentially to the crushing burden of chronic diseases that we already bear, not as rare coincidences, aberrations, or side effects, but as a built-in feature of their design.

Gripped by the urgency of that realization, and unnerved by our obstinate inability and unwillingness to recognize it, I began combing through the scientific literature, and uncovered a substantial body of reputable, published research along the same lines, (5), studies ignored by most practising physicians, because they directly contradict what we are authoritatively taught, fondly believe, and seldom bother to question.

Since well before the COVID, thinking it a scientific and moral issue of vital importance, I began emailing leading progressive legislators, pointing out that simply ending the mandates would significantly improve the health of the nation; but not one ever acknowledged even receiving them.  During the 2016 Presidential election season, the drug companies launched a campaign to convince the blue states to eliminate their philosophical and personal-belief exemptions from the vaccines they were requiring, especially measles, because of a few modest outbreaks of the disease that belied the CDC’s claim to have eliminated it from the country.

I reached out to Bernie Sanders, because he’d been railing against the greed and corruption of the drug industry for decades; but his office never wrote back, and in one campaign speech after another he echoed the official CDC line, blaming the unvaccinated for spreading the disease, and thus putting their fellow-citizens at risk. (6)   Similar attempts to inform Liz Warren, AOC, and a few others also failed, leaving me to own up to the fact that vaccination had become essentially a sacred cow, beyond question or doubt, for the public at large.  Nor could I blame them entirely, since their only mistake was having trusted the medical profession and the CDC to tell us the truth about matters of health that they presumably understand better than anyone.

By 2019, as the outbreaks continued, editorials in the New York Times and other mainstream media were openly castigating “anti-vaxxers,” (7) with Congressman Adam Schiff, an avowed champion of civil rights, explicitly ordering Facebook and Google to suppress all content questioning the vaccine mandates as “disinformation,” and thus violating the First Amendment in the name of a public health emergency that he was doing his level best to create, with every righteous intention, to be sure. (8)

With the COVID pandemic in 2020, the censorship looked to become permanent, as the economy and almost all daily activities were locked down, against the advice of leading epidemiologists. (9)  In 2021, when the vaccines finally became available, the whole population was threatened with loss of jobs and forbidden to travel for refusing them, as the unvaccinated were blamed once again for spreading the virus, even though the vaccine was later admitted to be ineffective in preventing it. (10). Meanwhile, Biden had become President, and the Democrats, abandoning their concern for civil rights in the teeth of the emergency, enforced the mandate more strictly than the Republicans, and did everything possible to discredit the “anti-vaxxers” who resisted or even doubted the need for it, and to silence or punish those who dared to question its safety or tried to publicize its adverse effects.

In addition to the growing number of doctors who began speaking out against these policies, a number of actors, writers, and politicians, mostly conservative Republicans and libertarians who detested the Biden Administration and government interventions of any kind, were raising their voices as well.

One of the leading dissidents was Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., who carries on the name and legacy of his still prominent family, especially his uncle, a beloved former President, and his father, who was also assassinated while running for President himself.

A successful environmental lawyer who won major judgments against polluters and the government agencies colluding with them, this younger Kennedy also created and led a nonprofit public-interest group, Children’s Health Defense, which publicizes current health issues, including how the drug industry deceives the public about vaccines, and ends up controlling the government agencies meant to regulate them.11  In short, he sounded like a classic New Deal Democrat, championing many of the same values that led me to study and write about this issue in the first place.

For all of these reasons, he became a hero to me and so many others, for taking on these powerful interests and exposing them with passion and eloquence, not least for doing so as a Democrat, at a time when most mainstream Democrats and party leaders were either clueless about the dangers of vaccines, reluctant to speak out against them, or committed to the pro-vaccine agenda now prevailing because their GOP opponents had begun to attack it, largely on libertarian grounds.

In the run-up to the 2024 Presidential election, when he announced his candidacy for the Democratic nomination, RFK Jr. soon attracted a huge following from among the growing multitudes harmed by vaccines, or disenchanted with the censorship and emergency measures imposed under the pandemic. In particular, for the minority of liberal and progressive Democrats like myself who felt the same way, he seemed like our only hope of bringing the vaccine issue into the mainstream of political discourse, as the signature and indeed winning issue for the left that I’ve always thought it was, and now more than ever.

But even at this early stage in the campaign, with the Democratic Convention still a year away, it is already clear that he cannot possibly win the nomination, because the party leadership and their activists at the state and district level are firmly committed to defeating him by any means necessary, so that there is no realistic possibility that he will succeed in bringing the vaccine issue front and center before the electorate and the general public at this time. If that is true, then the only possible result of his candidacy going forward will be to dissuade the 20% of normally Democratic voters who now support him from voting for Biden, the presumptive nominee, and thus quite possibly help to re-elect Trump, who has explicitly and for once truthfully pledged to end our already frail democratic experiment once and for all.

Preventing that result, at once too horrible to contemplate yet suddenly within reach, must take precedence over the vanishingly unlikely prospect that Kennedy will be allowed to represent the party, when it refuses even to give him the same Secret Service protection it has always allowed its sworn enemies.  It saddens me to have to say this, since it will also mean weakening and burying yet again the cause that I’ve spent the last forty years trying to publicize.

So this is my plea to RFK Jr., which I can only hope he’ll take to heart:

* Please arrange a private meeting with Joe Biden and other Democratic leaders, and announce your intention to suspend your candidacy for the sake of party unity against Trump.
* Please ask them to give serious attention to your work at Children’s Health Defense, exposing the malfeasance of the vaccine manufacturers in corrupting the CDC and other government agencies that were created to regulate and restrain them.
* Please promise to be a loyal Democrat, to work hard to help re-elect Biden or the party nominee, whoever it turns out to be.
* And this is my plea to President Biden and the Democratic Party leaders, which I hope they will heed as well:
* Please listen carefully to what RFK Jr. and various doctors and scientists have to say about the dangers of vaccines and the successful tactics of the CDC and other agencies to keep them hidden from the public.
* Please appoint him to the Platform Committee, to make use of his research and expertise about vaccines and public health to help formulate party policy about these important issues.

Thank you.

The Immune System. Why Conventional Medicine wants to Re-educate us

The Conventional Medical Establishment is trying to "re-educate" us about our immune system. The new medical understanding is that the immune system protects us best only after we have been vaccinated, and even questions whether there is any such thing as "natural immunity".

These are some comments I have seen recently on the Quora website, responses to a question about whether "young children have a natural immunity to Covid-19, even if they do not catch it". What these responses describe appears to be an entirely new understanding of what the immune system is, what it does, and how it does it.

"No human of any age has immunity until infected or vaccinated."

"I don't think they could have any natural immunity....."

"No. No one has any immunity to COVID 19. We/Humans have never had it before; therefore, we have never developed any immunity."

        "No, Next question please".

"One cannot have a “natural” immunity to a non-preexisting entity. First, one has to be exposed."

"No. To have an immune response to a specific virus your immune system has to see the virus, either by catching ir or being vaccinated against it...."

" No. There is no such thing as “natural immunity”.

        "There is no natural immunity".

"The coronavirus that causes Covid-19 is novel to the human race, so no one is immune to it, especially children."

"No human has 'natural immunity' until they are infected and their immune system responds."

"No, haven't you seen any local news? The hospitals are filled with children with Covid.

Most of the responses the questioner received were in the same vein. To date the questioner has received 53 similar responses. Perhaps this should not come as too much of a surprise. During the Covid-19 pandemic conventional medical 'experts' have been given free-rein, both by government and the mainstream media (MSM), to inform us about this entirely new understanding of our immune systems.

"We have no immunity, we are all at risk, we all need the vaccine" has become part of the official narrative being incessantly forced on us.

Only vaccines can safe us from Covid-19!

So what you will now hear from me will be described by the conventional medical establishment as disinformation! However, I will quote only from conventional medical websites to describe what we used to believe the immune system is, and what it does. This 'misinformation', for examples, is taken from the John Hopkins Medicine website.

"The immune system protects your child's body from outside invaders, such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and toxins (chemicals produced by microbes). It is made up of different organs, cells, and proteins that work together. There are two main parts of the immune system:

  • The innate immune system, which you are born with.
  • The adaptive immune system, which you develop when your body is exposed to microbes or chemicals released by microbes."
THE INNATE IMMUNE SYSTEM. This is your child's rapid response system. It patrols your child’s body and is the first to respond when it finds an invader. The innate immune system is inherited and is active from the moment your child is born. When this system recognizes an invader, it goes into action immediately. The cells of this immune system surround and engulf the invader. The invader is killed inside the immune system cells. These cells are called phagocytes." (also from the JHM website, my emphasis).

THE ACQUIRED IMMUNE SYSTEM. The acquired immune system, with help from the innate system, produces cells (antibodies) to protect your body from a specific invader. These antibodies are developed by cells called B lymphocytes after the body has been exposed to the invader. The antibodies stay in your child's body. It can take several days for antibodies to develop. But after the first exposure, the immune system will recognize the invader and defend against it. The acquired immune system changes throughout your child's life." (also from the JHM website, with my emphasis).

The JHM website only then adds that "immunizations train your child's immune system to make antibodies to protect him or her from harmful diseases." It is almost an after-thought. But it is an after-thought that does not explain why the child's immune system should not work; why it should fail in its primary task; or what has compromised our 'natural immunity' so that we need vaccines.

The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases describes the function of the immune system as follows"

"The overall function of the immune system is to prevent or limit infection..... The immune system can distinguish between normal, healthy cells and unhealthy cells by recognizing a variety of "danger" cues called danger-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs). Cells may be unhealthy because of infection or because of cellular damage caused by non-infectious agents like sunburn or cancer. Infectious microbes such as viruses and bacteria release another set of signals recognized by the immune system called pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs)."

Let's try one more description of the immune system this time described by the NCBI, the National Centre for Biotechnology Information .

"The immune system has a vital role: it protects your body from harmful substances, germs and cell changes that could make you ill. It is made up of various organs, cells and proteins. As long as your immune system is running smoothly, you don’t notice that it’s there. But if it stops working properly - because it’s weak or can't fight particularly aggressive germs - you get ill. Germs that your body has never encountered before are also likely to make you ill. Some germs will only make you ill the first time you come into contact with them. These include childhood diseases like chickenpox."

"Without an immune system, we would have no way to fight harmful things that enter our body from the outside or harmful changes that occur inside our body. The main tasks of the body’s immune system are:
  • to fight disease-causing germs (pathogens) like bacteria, viruses, parasites or fungi,
  • to remove them from the body,
  • to recognize and neutralize harmful substances from the environment, and
  • to fight disease-causing changes in the body, such as cancer cells.

This is how the immune system has been understood for a very long time. Thucydides, an Athenia historian and general, said this about acquired immunity in 430bce, during the Athenian Plague.

"Yet it was with those who had recovered from the disease that the sick and the dying found most compassion. These knew what it was from experience and had no fear for themselves; for the same man was never attacked twice - never at least fatally."

So nothing in any of these conventional medical descriptions, pre-Covid-19, talk about the inability of the immune system to recognise new, or strange viruses, whether artificially produced in a Chinese laboratory, or not. They do not support what conventional medicine now seems to be saying. To the contrary, we have been told, and we have been aware for many millenia, that the immune system is designed to protect us against 'foreign substances'.

Nowhere, in any of these descriptions, is it suggested that we have NO immunity UNTIL we have CAUGHT the infection; and certainly not UNTIL we have been vaccinated.

  • So who is spreading disinformation?
  • Has conventional medicine been wrong about the immune system for centuries - until now? If so, where is the science?
  • Or perhaps our former understanding of innate and acquired immunity (= natural immunity?) does not lead to the financial rewards that 'vaccine acquired' immunity provides for the pharmaceutical industry?

I do not know who the young person was who asked the question. But the responses he/she received will have left him/her in little doubt that he/she was completely unprotected against the Covid-19 virus, and that he/she would either have to subject himself/herself to the virus, or get the vaccine.

Of course the immune system does not protect everyone from everything; if it could do that no-one would ever be ill. We have known this for a long time too. But the problem is not the immune system - it is our treatment and abuse of our immune system. If we eat badly, if we don't exercise properly, if we smoke, if we drink to access, if we take pharmaceutical drugs, et al., we can undermine, or compromise our immune system. When we abuse our bodies our immune system will not function so well; it will not give us the protection it should; we will succumb to illness.

The Covid-19 narrative has, at least (and to a very limited extent) been honest about this. We have been told that those people most at risk of infection, hospitalisation and death are people with compromised immune systems. However, the narrative has never gone on to develop this further. Conventional medicine should have been telling us how best we can support natural immunity but it has signally failed to do so.

So the pharmaceutical industry might want to promote their vaccines. It might want to downplay the importance of innate and acquired immunity - natural immunity. It might want to suggest that vaccine immunity is best.

But nobody needs to believe this blatant promotional sales pitch!

Natural immunity is alive and well; and unless we abuse it it will continue to protect us from most infections, and keep us well, just as it has always done.

The Body is an Organism not a Mechanism. This is why Conventional Medicine has got it wrong! The important role of Natural Immunity to Health and Well-Being.

The human body is an organism not a mechanism. When dealing with our health this is an important distinction. The body is living, vibrant and adaptable; it grows and develops. If we look after it well it will keep itself fit and healthy. It thrives and is enhanced by exercise and activity. It is naturally programmed to respond to threats to health and our well-being. All it asks in return that we nurture and look after it sensibly.

Machines are quite different, they do not have the same abilities and characteristics. They do not grow and develop, they cannot look after themselves. We must look after them. They have no ability to fend for themselves, they require our regular input and attention. When we over-use them they wear out, they become less efficient; separate parts fail and need to be replaced.

This is what conventional medicine has forgotten about health and well-being. Their entire modus operandi clearly demonstrates that they treat the human body is a machine; it cannot look after itself, it can be maintained or enhanced only through regular medical input:

  • health comes from a bottle of pharmaceutical pills, forcing the body to behave correctly,
  • vaccines are the only way to combat germs and infections,
  • our body parts wear out and have to be surgically removed and replaced.

This is why conventional medicine has got things so fundamentally wrong; it is why chronic disease has been increasing for decades, now running at epidemic levels, and spiralling out of control the more we use and spend on pharmaceutical medical treatment.

This is why conventional medicine is unable to cope with epidemics: why thousands of people have died, or become very sick with Covid-19; why hugely restrictive public health policies have caused devastating social, economic and personal harm; and why it has failed, and continues to fail; why such uncertainty and fear remains about life ever returning to normal again.

The vast majority of people who have relied upon, and suffered the failure of conventional medicine's treatments, are understandably confused. Covid-19 has led to 18 months plus of hardship, in one form or another. We have been told to wash our hands, to wear masks, to keep social distance, to isolate and quarantine, to lockdown on all social activities. In general we have complied; and at the time of writing we are on our third wave of the virus.

Our confusion is heightened when we are told that conventional medical science now understands the workings of the human body in a way that was impossible 200 years ago. For instance, where once we knew little about the circulation of blood around the body, we now have intimate knowledge about how the blood circulates. Medicine now has a minute understanding about how the heart, liver, kidneys and other organs work.

So it is puzzling that, despite this incredible knowledge of the workings of the human body, medical science has not been able to resolve the problem of ill-health and disease; that conventional medicine has been able to do little to reduce the severity of the Covid-19 pandemic. Why should this be?

There is a fundamental reason. Conventional medical science does indeed know a lot about the mechanics of the human body; but it has failed to understand the principles of maintaining health, and curing illness and disease. And this is largely because it treats the body as a machine.

  • If the carburettor in a motor car is faulty - replace it. After all, it’s a machine, and one carburettor works just like any other.

So when conventional science informs doctors about what the healthy human body it has an apparently simple solution. It can identify what is should, and should not be happening; so restoring health is to force the body back into compliance with what is considered to be normal - to make it do what it should be doing.

  • Pain? Get rid of it, kill it; with painkillers
  • Limb pain? Heart disease? Replace it, transplant a new limb or a new organ.
  • High Blood Pressure? Reduce it with drugs.
  • Cholesterol causing heart problems? Reduce cholesterol levels with Statin drugs.
  • Threatened by bacterial infection? Kill the bacteria with antibiotic drugs.
  • Subject to a viral attack? Chase the virus, hunt it down; or avoid it, run away; lockdown.

These are mechanical 'solutions' that might work if the human body was a machine, but which are almost inevitably ineffective. Indeed, they are positively harmful - once it is understood that the body is an organism.

This reflects the fundamental difference between conventional medicine and natural medical therapies. The former sees the body as a machine that has to be forced back into health. The latter asks what is causing the body to be in pain, or what has caused high blood pressure, or high levels of cholesterol, and why the body has succumbed to a viral/bacterial infection.

  • It is these causal questions that has led natural medical therapies to safe and effective solutions.
  • It is the failure to answer (or even ask) these question that has to the ongoing failure of conventional medicine to deal with sickness and disease.

The Covid-19 pandemic should bring the difference between treating a 'mechanism' and an 'organism' more sharply into focus?

  • Why did conventional medicine have no effective treatment for Covid-19 at the start of the pandemic, or now?
  • Why did it decide to "chase the virus", only for it to be quite clearly be outrun and out-thought by the virus, and its alleged 'variants'?
  • Why does conventional medicine pay so little attention to the potential healing power of our bodies, to resist and help us to cope with the virus?
  • Why were we told that only a new vaccine would keep us healthy, and return us to normal life when the means of doing so was within us all the time'?
And, in particular, why has conventional medicine forgotten about the importance of natural immunity? It knows so much about the intricate details of the working of the body; yet now it does not realise that our immune system is designed to enable us not only to live with viruses, but to help us avoid and cope with illness, and promote our well-being.
  • If conventional medicine had been willing to work with the body as an organism doctors would have been telling the public about natural immunity, the way we could support and strengthen our immune system, and how it can protect us from the virus. Sadly it has rarely been mentioned.
  • If it had spent more time paying attention to the body's own defences we would not have had to spend £$billions on ventilators, intensive care, on ineffective drugs with serious side effects, or develop new, expensive and inadequately tested vaccines.
  • Instead it could have identify people with a compromised immune system, and who were most at risk of Covid-19. Such a policy would have focused attention on the vulnerable, those with 'underlying health conditions', whilst allowing the less vulnerable to get on with their lives, livelihoods, education, et al.

What natural medical therapists have done during the pandemic is what they always do - they have placed bacterial and viral infections into a natural rather than a mechanical perspective. We live with these 'germs' all the time; we always have done - long before we knew they existed. Most of the germs that cause human epidemics are not naturally dangerous. But when they come into contact with a host that is vulnerable they thrive, multiply, and cause a problem for that host.

In other words germs thrive on ‘poor soil’, that is, from a host that has become unable to cope with them. When germs find a vulnerable host they thrive, they cause major epidemics kill massive numbers of people. Throughout history epidemics have killed the weakest, and sickened to the weaker amongst. The only protection is a strong and healthy host - not pharmaceutical drugs or vaccines.

Major epidemics have always killed massive numbers of people. Yet even the very deadliest epidemics (the Black Death of 1346, the Great Plague of 1665, the plethora of 19th century epidemics, the Spanish flu of 1919) did not kill everyone. The fittest have always survived. The task of medicine is, or should have been, supporting and strengthening the natural immunity of the weaker.

The secret to "the survival of the fittest" has never been paternalist governments intent on saving everyone. It has always been natural immunity. It has never been vaccines. Vaccines have never worked (see, for example, the failure of vaccines to treat measles). The current focus on so-called "vaccine-immunity" has arisen only because vaccines are immensely profitable for the immensely rich, influential and powerful pharmaceutical industry. The message 'only a vaccine can save us' is little more than medical promotion and propaganda.

To the contrary it is not profitable for drug companies to encourage people to support and strengthen their immune system.

Indeed, the impact that pharmaceutical drugs and vaccines have on natural immunity might be the leading reason for the conventional medical establishment (CHE) being so intent on stopping us thinking too much about its importance. Most of those with the weakest natural immunity are those whose immune systems have been heavily compromised by pharmaceutical drug treatment.

It is definitely downright unprofitable for CHE to ask the question - why is Covid-19 killing people with 'underlying health problems' when it is realised that 'underlying health problems' are often caused by pharmaceutical drugs and vaccines. Or when conventional medicine uses "immuno-suppressant therapy" to treat conditions such as cancer, and those with limb and organ transplants.

The failure of conventional medicine arises from this fundamental flaw in their understanding of health and well-being. It treats with organism with "anti-" drugs that "Block", "Inhibit", and Kill"  the normal functioning of the body. The function of these drugs is given away in the generic names of these drugs.

This is why conventional medicine has little or nothing that works alongside the organism, little that enables and promotes harmony and health. This is why it has had little to offer us during this pandemic. This is why so many people are confused.

We have obeyed all the rules.

Large numbers have accepted the vaccine.

Yet normal life is still not returning.

So is it any wonder that people are confused!

WHO AM I? I am a Pro-Choice Well-Being Advocate

If, like me, you are fed up with being abused by government, the mainstream media (MSM), and conventional medicine about pharmaceutical vaccines, let's make a stand!

  • I am not going to have the Covid-19 vaccine, no matter what these 3 pillars of our society say.
  • I am fed up with being called an 'anti-vaxxer', or 'vaccine hesitant' - this does not explain my position.
  • I am fed up with being told that only vaccines will save the world, return social life to normal, and rescue the economy.
  • I am fed up with being ignored, never given the chance to explain my position on MSM, and never being given a right to reply to abuse (much of it by journalists).
  • I am fed up with insistent reminders from the NHS that I should get vaccinated.

So, the first issue. How should I describe my personal stance? I have been discussing this with several colleagues, and I have decided that this is how I would like to be described.

I AM A PRO-CHOICE, WELL-BEING ADVOCATE

I believe in patient choice, and more widely, in health freedom. This means, in negative terms, that I refuse to be forced into accepting pharmaceutical medication. I believe I have good evidence and information on which to base my stance, both negative and positive. First, the negative reasons.

  1. The treatments offered by the conventional medical establishment (CHE) are not effective. Most of them do not work, and the efficacy of all pharmaceutical drugs and vaccines are grossly exaggerated by CHE and the mainstream media (MSM).
  2. CHE drug treatments are all dangerous, with adverse drug/vaccine reactions ensuring that their disadvantages far outweigh any benefits.

I do not care if you agree, or disagree with this stance! That is entirely your prerogative. I can defend my position with good quality information, much of it coming from the literature of the CHE itself. I have written a book, freely available on the internet, called "The Failure of Conventional Medicine" and in this I fully explain my position. You may disagree, although you cannot disagree without first knowing what my position is. I am not an 'anti-vaxxer', or 'vaccine hesitant' - without very good reason.

All I ask is that you first seek to understand my position. Do not dismiss me without first knowing what this is.

I am fully aware of the position of CME on vaccination. Everyone does! We have heard nothing else from government, health authorities, and the MSM for over a year now. And these sources of information have been most careful to ensure that my position, as a pro-choice well-being advocate, has never ever been presented or explained.

So what is a 'Pro-Choice Well-Being Advocate'?

First, we are people who believe that personal freedom and liberty is important; and that there is no freedom more important than the freedom to choose our medical treatment when we are ill. We believe that it is unacceptable for government, or one particular medical system, or the corporate-dominated and controlled MSM, to encourage/oblige/force anyone to take pharmaceutical medication.

And we demand full information, from all side of the health debate. Moreover we want this information to be freely and transparently available to everyone - so that we are all able to make an informed choice. An informed choice is not necessarily a 'correct' choice, or a 'sensible' choice, or even a 'wise' choice; but it is a choice that should not forced on anyone by the 'experts' of one particular medical system.

Second, pro-choice well-being advocates believe in something that is vitally important. Our belief is no longer accepted by the CME but this does not make the CME right. Our reasons for not getting vaccinated are for good positive reasons:

  • they are reasons connected with the immune system, supporting and strengthening natural immunity to infection and illness, through diet, nutrition, exercise, life-style choices. And (for me) with homeopathic prophylaxis; and ultimately (should I fall ill) having homeopathy at my side for treatment.

It does not matter to me if you believe this is inadequate, that you think this will not protect me from Covid (or anything else), and that I should still have the vaccine. That is YOUR assessment of what heath is all about. It is most definitely NOT mine! It is not about well-being!

Third, well-being is an importantly different concept to today's normal definition of 'health' - which is why I prefer the term. We believe that everyone is equipped by nature to stay well. Certainly, we can compromise our well-being by poor life-style choices, bad diet, or indeed through the harmful side effects of conventional medical treatment. But this does not make germs (bacteria or viruses) an enemy. They become an enemy when we undermine our personal protection against them. We recognise that we live with germs every second of every day, and that the secret of well-being is to live with them, alongside them, in harmony.

So, our response to Covid-19 is much the same as it is for measles, pertussis, HPV, influenza, et al; plus every other disease for which conventional medicine wants to force drugs/vaccines on us. We support well-being every day by maintaining our immune system, by strengthening our natural immunity. And, importantly, we get on with life without the panic and fear we have been witnessing over Covid-19.

We are not selling drugs or vaccines? We are not promoting anything. We are not profiting from what we do. We believe we keep well, and protect ourselves from illness, by looking after ourselves.

Fourth, we recognise that we are all responsible for our own well-being. Health does not come from a bottle of pills, or even an injection. It comes from within ourselves. What this means is that I cannot be responsible for your health, and that I cannot expect you to be responsible for my health. Well-being is about the decisions we each make about our lifestyle. This is not a selfish position. It is not a decision at all. It is the reality. Our health is in our own hands; it is our responsibility; we make ourself well, or susceptible to sickness, by our own decisions.

When we get ill natural medical therapies are there to help us support and strengthen our immune systems; but part of that consultation will almost inevitably involve a discussion about the lifestyle choices we have made, and what we can do to enhance our well-being.

Fifth, we recognise that one of the main side effects of pharmaceutical medicines is to compromise our natural immunity, to make the patient more rather than less susceptible to illness. So we avoid them. Pro-choice well-being advocates do not recommend chasing germs, and killing them, as the CHE does. We take this position because we believe, ultimately, they are counter-productive to our well-being.

So advocates of pro-choice well-being cannot agree to vaccination. It is not because we are 'anti-vaccine', or 'vaccine hesitancy'. It is because, for us, health comes from within. We do not believe that conventional medicine is helpful, that it does not understand health, and that ultimately it is contrary to our wellness and well-being.

Listen to your Immune System: get to feel how your natural immunity is constantly working

How well is your immune system working? How good is your natural immunity? And how do you know?

The question is usually answered by asking how susceptible you are to bugs and germs, how frequently you contract coughs, colds, and sore throats.

Yet in recent months I have come to think perhaps there is another way. I may have been as I was aware of the Covid-19 problem that made me conscious of every little tickle in my throat, every slightly blocked nose, every temporary cough, every momentary desire to sneeze.

I didn't realise how often these things came; nor how quickly they went again, quite spontaneously, sometimes within just a few minutes; and without having to do anything. So what is happening?

We should recognise that we live with germs, bacteria, viruses every minute of the day. They are part of 'us', part of our make up. We can usually live in harmony with them. Only since the germ theories of Louis Pasteur, in the latter part of the 19th century, did we begin to look at them as 'the enemy'.

So what maintains the balance between 'them' and 'us', what stops the germs doing what they can do if they get out of control? The answer is simple - it is the 'host'; that is, it is you and me; it is our body, within which the germs function, that controls them. And this is what the body's immune system is set up to do, every moment of the day.

We have all known this for a very long time! What I did not realise, perhaps as I should  have realised, is that our immune system is working, continually, to correct even the most marginal, most delicate of imbalances.

Only conventional medicine, in its desire to sell vaccines, appears to have forgotten the importance of natural immunity. Perhaps it has also had to forget because a 'side effect' of so many of their pharmaceutical drugs and vaccines is actually compromise the immune system. This is what gives rise to the numerous 'autoimmune' diseases from which so many people now suffer. Indeed, some drugs actually set out to suppress the immune system (immunosuppressant drugs).

What natural medical therapies realise is that we have to look after our immune system. When it works it works and we don't even know it is working. When it is compromised we pay a serious price in terms of our general health. I have written about how we can support and strengthen our natural immunity, through healthy lifestyle choices, good diet and nutrition, exercise and the like. And of course, staying clear of pharmaceutical drugs and vaccines.

So here is an exercise for you. Begin to recognise the functioning of your natural immunity, take notice of the small, temporary signs of potential ill-health that I have listed; witness their emergence; and see how they come and go, quite naturally. This is the immune system at work. Appreciate it. Begin to do all the many things that will support and strengthen your personal immunity.

It's a lovely exercise. It encourages us to eat another bowl of fruit, and/or to get out into the sunshine, and/or to exercise. And it makes us appreciate, and look after. the wonderful body we have all been given - brilliantly designed to keep us in good health.

AND ALL WITHOUT THE NEED FOR VACCINES

There are a large number of studies that demonstrate that natural immunity is more robust than the Covid-19 vaccines.

The Immune System. Supporting & Strengthening our Natural Immunity

Conventional medicine no longer believes in the immune system, how it is designed to keep us well, provides natural immunity, not least against infectious disease. This is the inevitable conclusion to be drawn from its lamentable, chaotic and incompetent response to the Covid-19 pandemic. During this entire time it has consistently and persistently said that vaccines were "our only defence against the virus". It has certainly failed to provide us with the information that we all need to support and strengthen our immune system.

A new health divide is developing. And as the Covid-19 pandemic has progressed, it became increasingly clear that this divide focuses, almost exclusively, on our attitude to natural immunity. Pharmaceutical medicine ignores it. Natural medical therapies puts it at the centre of all its treatments.

THE IMMUNE SYSTEM

We all have an immune system. It works by recognising and identifying infections and injuries in the body, and responds by trying to protect us, and restore us to good health and well-being. The immune system operates in many ways, some of which conventional medicine confuses with illness (for example, a fever, a cold, a runny nose, feeling 'run down, or 'under the weather') - all of which require medical treatment.

So when many people are told they are sick it is actually a sign that their body is fighting back against an infection, or an over-active virus. It is our immune system at work!

SO HOW CAN WE SUPPORT/STRENGTHEN OUR NATURAL IMMUNITY?

So how good is our immune system? A simple rule of thumb! Do you succumb readily to infections like colds, sore throats, coughs, etc; do you seem to catch anything and everything that is 'doing the rounds'? If  you do your immune system probably needs some attention. If not, then your immune system is probably doing it's job.

Boasting our immune system is always a good idea, but doing so is not always entirely simple because it demands a certain level of personal commitment on our part. We have to look after it. Our immune system is an incredibly complex and multifaceted system that needs to be kept in balance and harmony.

This is our personal responsibility. Our immunity to illness and disease does not come from a bottle of pills, or a packet of pharmaceutical drugs, or from a vaccine injected into our arm.

Enhancing natural immunity is largely up to us, it is intimately concerned with how we look after ourselves - on a regular daily basis.

This aside, supporting and strengthening our immune system is simple process, requiring minimal expenditure, just a degree of personal commitment and determination. Equally, there are things, lifestyle choices, that can undermine or compromise our immune system. Despite this there are a number of things we can do to boost our immunity, and benefit our health. This involves adopting a healthy lifestyle. The body is made up of a number of different systems, the respiratory system, the digestive system, and so on, and they all function at their best when we look after them, as best we can, by choosing basic health strategies, such as:

1. Do not smoke.

Our lungs are designed to breath fresh air. The body needs oxygen to protect itself. Smokers are known to get more colds, and other respiratory complaints than non-smokers - a clear indication that smoking plays a role in compromising our immune system.

2. Alcohol Consumption.

Being adequately hydrated is important to our general health. Dehydration contributes to a susceptibility to bacteria and viruses; it can cause headaches, hinder digestion and physical performance, reduce mental focus and mood, and reduce the functioning of the heart and kidneys, and make us more susceptible to illness.

In line with this, the over-consumption of alcohol should be avoided; it can actually dehydrate the body, and should be consumed only in moderation.

3. Avoid Pharmaceutical Drugs and Vaccines

Few guides providing advice to support our immune system will tell you this. Yet people who take prescription drugs have become some of the sickest people around. All pharmaceutical drugs and vaccines are toxic, something else for our immune system to cope with. They are invariably largely ineffective; and they are all unsafe - the cause 'side effects' that of immune system cannot cope with. For more information on the illnesses and diseases that can be caused by pharmaceutical drugs, go to this website.

Even conventional medicine is now beginning to realise the importance of a healthy digestive tract to the health of our whole body, and to our immune system. Most pharmaceutical drugs are taken by mouth and so pass straight into the digestive track. These drugs are all toxic, in some way, but antibiotic drugs are perhaps the worst of all. They are designed to kill bacteria, and so are known to compromise the important gut microbiome. In recent years there is increasing evidence to suggest that even diseases previously thought to be unrelated to the stomach and the digestive system might actually be caused by drug damage, including both Dementia and Parkinson's disease.

Yet many other pharmaceutical drugs and vaccines can, and do interfere with the functioning of the immune system, many of which are now being associated with the epidemic levels of auto-immune disease we are now experiencing.

And, of course, there are also pharmaceutical drugs, immunosuppressant drugs, that are designed, quite intentionally, to compromise our immune system.

During the Covid-19 pandemic many of the 'underlying health conditions' that were the real cause of most of the deaths, had been caused by pharmaceutical drugs and vaccines taken over the years for a variety of conditions.

4. Obesity. maintaining a healthy weight.

Refined sugars and carbohydrates are known to contribute massively to overweight and obesity, and obesity is known to undermine our natural immunity, and increase the risk of getting sick on a regular basis. This is why diet, nutrition and exercise are so very important to the immune system.

5. Diet and Nutrition.

This is probably the most important aspect of supporting and strengthening our natural immunity. The primary recommendation is to consume whole plant foods like fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and legumes as these boast our immune systems because they are rich in nutrients and antioxidants. The immune system needs a diet high in fresh fruit and vegetables as these are rich in zinc, selenium, iron, copper, folic acid, vitamins A, B6, C, D and E, and much more.

The best foods, usually mentioned, are citrus fruits (oranges, grapefruit, lemon, limes, tangerines, clementines), red peppers, broccoli, garlic, ginger, spinach, almonds, sunflower seeds, turmeric, green tea, kiwi fruit, papaya, poultry (high in Vitamin B6), and shellfish (crabs, oysters, mussels, lobster).

Usually a well balanced wholefood diet will be sufficient, although many people still like to augment this with the use of multi-vitamins and mineral supplements. These are known to strengthen the body's natural immunity. Yet care does need to be taken. Too much of any vitamin, mineral or other supplement, may cause an imbalance. However Vitamin C, Vitamin D, and Zinc supplementation can always be considered, as can supplements based on Elderberry, Echinacea and Garlic, which are also known to be helpful.

Eating more fermented foods is also recommended. Foods rich in beneficial bacteria, called probiotics, can provide vital support the digestive tract. These include natural (live culture) yogurt, sauerkraut, kimchi, kefir, and natto. A flourishing microbiome, a network of gut bacteria, helps your immune system differentiate between normal, healthy cells, and harmful invader organisms.

Correspondingly, and as a direct consequence of all this,  it is always best to avoid highly processed food, 'fast' food, or 'junk' food.

6. Exercise.

It is known that regular, moderate exercise improves cardiovascular health, lowers blood pressure, helps control body weight, protects against a variety of diseases - and also supports and strengthens a healthy immune system. This is why lockdown policies, during the Covid-19 pandemic, have been so ridiculous and counter-productive.

Prolonged and/or intense exercise may sometimes be problematic too. It is now thought to suppress or compromise the immune system. So there is no need to overdo the exercise! Certainly walk every day for 20-30 minutes, or go to the gym or swimming pool several times a week, or play a round of golf on a regular basis - or similar. This is usually quite sufficient to maintain our natural immunity.

7. A Stress-Free lifestyle.

Prolonged stress is known to imbalance and suppress our immune function. There is a close link between our minds and our bodies, and emotional stress is known to cause stomach upsets, heart disease, and much else.

So it is important to minimise stress in your life, although this is not always entirely possible. Chronic stress can arise through our family relationships, our friends, and co-workers, or the challenges that exists with the place of work.

Where this is the case there are activities that can help manage stress, including exercise, yoga, and similar 'mindfulness' practices. Some people may also benefit from seeing a counsellor or therapist to reduce stress levels.

8. Sleep.

Sleep and natural immunity are closely linked. Poor quality sleep is linked to susceptibility to sickness, perhaps best described as a 'tired' immune system.

9. Older Age

We are often told that our immune systems declines with age, that ageing makes us all more susceptible to infection and illness. This may be true, but as we get older this makes all this advice more important as we get older. Old age does not prevent people caring for their immune systems, and ensure that our natural immunity stays in good working order.

10. Herbs and Supplements.

Many people support their immune system with herbs and supplement. There are a great number of these on offer, many tell us of why we should take them, and how our immune system will benefit from them. So there is a bewildering and complex amount of choice, and often their benefits are exaggerated.

Yet for people whose immune system has been compromised, in some way, they can be helpful in providing some useful and beneficial nutrients. They need to be carefully chosen, for both financial and health reasons. They can certainly help, and will not carry the same level of risk of adverse reactions as pharmaceutical drugs.

11. Natural Medical Therapies.

Natural medical therapies, including homeopathy, naturopathy, herbalism, acupuncture, Ayurvedic, reflexology, and many others, all highlight the importance of natural immunity, and treatment focuses on the support of the immune system. If anyone is aware that their natural immunity is weak, or that it has been compromised, they should research how these therapies might assist in enhancing immunity. Contact a local therapist, explain your problems, book a consultation. This is what many people are now doing, those who have freed themselves from pharmaceutical medical propaganda, and understand that pharmaceutical drugs and vaccines are neither effective or safe.

See also this link, "Build your immune resilience - as nature intended".

CONCLUSION.

Supporting and strengthening our immune system does not need to be expensive. Most of the above can be done without medical intervention, indeed it can help to avoid the need for medical intervention.

We are all in control of our immune system, for better or worse. We can all make important lifestyle and dietary changes right now which will help to support and strengthen our immune system - and enable it to keep us well.

No drugs, no vaccines are  necessary - just a sensible way of life.

It is sad that none of this advice is offered by conventional medicine, which appears to be too busy, or more interested in getting us to take their drugs or vaccines in their belief that this the only way to protect ourselves from illness, disease and death! This is not true. It is misinformation.

This is what the health divide is about: we all need to recognise that the fundamental basis of good health is our immune system, that maintaining this is what distinguishes natural medicine from pharmaceutical medicine, and that everyone has the ability to support and strengthen their own immunity.

Promoting Natural Immunity

The Conventional Medical Establishment is fixated with vaccination. Homeopathy, by contrast, is concerned with supporting the natural immunity of our bodies. Nowhere is this better demonstrated than by a marvellous website - Arnica: UK Parents' Support (see http://www.arnica.org.uk/).

The Arnica Network was formed in 2007, mostly by parents concerned about vaccination. They wanted to know more about 'natural' health, and 'natural immunity'. In the last 3 years 50 Arnica groups have been formed - demonstrating how keen increasing numbers of people are now to find something safer, more natural than the toxic drugs and vaccination offered by ConMed.

“At Arnica we believe in the importance of Natural Immunity.”

Well that's sensible, and it is what all medical therapies do - except for ConMed, dominated as it is by Big Pharma drugs and its toxic drugs. So what do Arnica groups do? Well, parents and health practitioners meet regularly, and use their Yahoo site.

to discuss vaccine issues. They also share good practice, and evidence about how children can be supported naturally when they are sick. They discuss all kinds of health-care matters, such as dealing with fever, and cleaning wounds. The also look at the adverse reactions caused by vaccines (our children are now given 25 vaccines before they reach toddler-hood), and the longer-term health problems they cause.

Most parents vaccinate their children because they are pressurised to do so by the NHS, and the Conventional Medical Establishment. They work through creating fear over simple, straightforward illness, like measles; and then telling us that we are not good parents unless we get our children vaccinated. It is extremely hard for parents to withstand such pressure on their own - but Arnica Groups provide support, and enable parents to make their own informed decisions about vaccination, and other medical matters.

Why not join them?
