Benzodiazepine Drugs (Valium, Ativan)

Benzodiazepine drugs have a disastrous history, even though there was a time when Valium was known as a 'wonder drug'.

"The history of benzodiazepines ... is the story of how drug companies gave birth to the scandal through their influence with doctors, the policing of alternative views of the drugs, the controlling of government through ties with the regulator bodies and advisers, and their use of power and money to ensure that legal actions became mired in procedure and ultimately failed, allow the harm to continue unchecked".


So writes Colin Downes-Grainger in his book "Prescription for Injury. The politics of Pharmaceutical Manufacture, Regulation and Prescription". Colin himself is a victim of Benzodiazepine drugs, and his book outlines his struggle to bring their harmful (disease inducing) effects (DIEs) into the open.

Colin was unable to publish the book professionally, and I bought a copy from him directly. It is worth reading for anyone who still believes that the drug companies, or the ConMed-NHS establishment, gives a damn about your health.

However, I now notice that his book is now available on the internet, and that it can be downloaded, free of charge. But can I recommend that you do send a small donation to him.

The book demonstrates very clearly the long-term dangers of ConMed drugs, still affecting people decades after they took them, in good faith. It also shows how the medical establishment knows about the dangerousness of drugs, but does nothing to protect patients.

Even now, it would seem, the doctors we trust are still quite willing to prescribe these same, dangerous drugs to patients, long, long after they have been shown to be worthless, and best avoided.

Violence and Drugs

We live in a more violent society - perhaps. Yet we have yet to fully realise that Big Pharma drugs are implicated in many of the worst violent events. Nearly all school shootings in the USA have been done by children who have been taking modern antidepressant drugs.

The more you examine the Big Pharma industry, the medical profession, and conventional medicine generally, you come to realise that they really don't know what they are doing. They pontificate. They think themselves clever. The call themselves scientists. They proclaim that conventional medicine is 'evidence based medicine'. But it can be seen by what they do, regularly, they have absolutely no idea what damage their drugs are going to cause - until it is too late for many patients.

The article referred to above states that in a Public Library of Science investigation the top 10 drugs implicated are 8 to 18 times more likely to be associated with violence than other drugs, and that most of these are anti-depressants.


"Of the ten drugs, nine have strong action on the brain and are given for mental and emotional problems. The one exception is mephloquine, an antimalarial. Of the remaining nine, one is the amphetamine group, one is for smoking cessation, one is an ADHD drug, one is a benzodiazepine, and five are SSRI or SNRI antidepressants".

Vaccines are not safe - and they know it

'Vaccines are safe' they tell us - but they are not. And those who say they are safe know quite well that they are not. But what they know is NOT what WE are being told - by government, by the Department of Health, by the NHS, and perhaps worst of all, by our GPs.

Nor are we being told my the mainstream media.

There was an international meeting in Jamaica (3-7th January 2011) to discuss (and I quote)

              'current vaccine science and policy safety concerns'. The meeting was held 'in response to acknowledged significant increases in immune and inflammatory diseases in children and adults, ranging from asthma and neurodevelopment disorders to the emergence of previously rare but serious autoimmune health conditions during the past three decades'.

So here we have evidence that vaccines cause side effects, or DIEs (disease inducing effects), and that the health authorities are aware of it. The report of the meeting continues:

               "The concern of delegates paralleled those of 89% of recently polled parents in the US, who place vaccine safety as their number one medical research priority, while health consumers in other developed countries are also questioning vaccine science and policy"

Warfarin and heart patients - find something safer!

Researchers at the University of Cincinanati say that heart patients should not be taking the drug Warfarin. It is taken to prevent stroke, but the new research suggests that most patients are getting no benefit, and could be at risk of excessive bleeding.

It is good that this has been discovered. After all, Warfarin has been given to rats as a poison for a long time, and it kills them by causing - excessive bleeding!

The researchers say that a safer drug should be found. But they don't say what drug, or whether there is a safer one! Anyone who looks at the life-history of all pharmaceutical drugs will probably conclude there isn't one!

People with atrial fibrillation and who have had a stroke might be better looking for a safer health therapy, like homeopathy!

If given a fair choice, most consumers would choose alternative medicine over conventional health care

As a long-term supporter of the principle of the NHS in the UK, this article is certainly food for thought.

There is little doubt that the NHS provides health care from general taxation, and then offers only one type of medicine - drug-based ConMed, dominated by Big Pharma. The NHS has become a monopoly supplier, dominated by people with a vested interested in this dangerous form of medicine.

Those who regularly attack homeopathy clearly want to stop patients having choice within the NHS; they certainly want to stop the tiny amount spent on homeopathy by the NHS, regardless of patient choice.

And many politicians and NHS officials now want to enforce medication, for instance, through their arguments about the importance of vaccination, and 'herd immunity'.

Patient choice within the NHS is going to become an important issue over the coming months, particularly important in terms of those people who want to choose a safe form of therapy rather than the dangerous and useless drugs offered to them at the moment.

It will be fought hard by homeopathy denialists, who know that where patients have a choice, and good information about all types of treatment, they will choose the safest, and more effective option. And that is, without doubt, homeopathy.

Children and Drugs

It has been estimated that 25% of children in the USA are now taking Big Pharma drugs.

One of the main questions raised in this article is whether these drugs have ever been tested on children. The answer is that very few - most are tested on adults who have more resistance to DIEs - disease inducing effects.

Conventional medicine is not evidence-based medicine. Parents need to ask their GPs whether their children really need drugs; if so have they been tested on children.

I would then suggest they should seek a second opinion from a homeopath, or CAM practitioner in order to avoid them having to take them.
