Sleeping pills increase chances of dying by 40 per cent

WDDTY ('What Doctors Don"t Tell You') have reported that sleeping pills increase the risk of an early death by nearly 40%.

This is based on alarming new research published in the Canadian Journal of Psychiatry. The drugs were found to affect our reactions, contributing to falls and accidents, as well as our breathing patterns, which could be disturbed while we sleep.

The research found that anxiety drugs affected mortality rates in a similar way.

This was not a small study. Researchers established the link after they analysed 12 years of data involving 14,000 patients. They found that insomnia and anxiety drugs increased the death rate by 36 per cent, and lead researcher, Dr Genevieve Belleville said:
“These medications aren’t candy, and taking them is far from harmless”.

The Conventional Medical Establishment admit that their drugs are dangerous, even though they usually play down the risk. Certain, pharmaceutical drugs should not be taken unless you are willing to take the risk. The trouble is patients are not being told about the risks of ConMed drugs. Websites such as WDDTY do their best, but the mainstream media ignore such research.

Homeopathy is a much safer and more effective form of treatment, with remedies like Passiflora and Coffea being particularly effective. However, there are literally hundreds of homeopathic remedies for insomnia, as treatment for this condition has to be individualised. So you are advised to consult with a homeopathy (see www.a-r-h.org for a local homeopath).

Alliance Boots now under attack by the Denialists

The homeopathy denialists, through their new 10:23 campaign are attacking homeopathy again, now by attacking Boots - for selling homeopathic remedies! I have sent the following email to Stefano Pessina, CEO of Boots (The email address is stefano.pessina@allianceboots.com). I urge all homeopathy supporters to write a similar letter demonstrating why their is a demand for homeopathic remedies to remain on sale.

"A democratic society is based upon the premise of freedom of expression and equality. The UK is a democratic society and seeks to allow it's citizens the freedom and choice, one of the most of which concerns our healthcare.

Homeopathy is an extremely popular and effective choice of treatment that approximately 10 million people in the UK have used. It is a treatment that has
been proven to work for over 200 years in the treatment of disease, and there are much scientific research that now confirms that it is more effective than placebo.

Unfortunately in the UK there is a movement to suppress people's freedom of choice to healthcare. They call themselves "sceptics", and they want to see the end of homeopathic medicine in the UK. Although homeopathy has been observed many times to have a strong therapeutic effect, the way it works is not completely understood by science.

Alliance Boots provide a great service to their customers in that by stocking homeopathic remedies they enable them to exercise the freedom of choose that so many people want. Boots customers have the choice to purchase conventional pharmaceutical medicines, or homeopathic medicines. There are very few multi-national companies that allow their patients such wide choice, and Alliance Boots need to be commended for doing that.

I am sure you are aware of a recent online letter produced by a group known as the 10:23 campaign. They are asking for Alliance Boots to stop selling homeopathic remedies. I urge Alliance Boots to continue to provide their customers with homeopathic remedies, customers who know that they work, and for this reason, there is huge demand in the UK for them. In an open, democratic society we should all allow people access the the medicine of their choice.

Medicine - the use of low doses in cancer treatment

Conventional medicine (ConMed) would have us believe that only by taking highly toxic drugs in large physical doses can have any impact on our health. This is quite wrong, and the evidence of the benefit of low, minimal and homeopathic doses is actually well known to science - except, of course, to the skeptics and supporters of the Pharmaceutical drugs industry.

It would appear that researchers within the conventional medical establishment are beginning to get the message. Read this at http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2754535/?tool=pubmed for a broad overview of the research that looks at the advantages of low doses, mainly in the treatment of cancer.

Of course, the lower the dose, the safer the medicine. Samuel Hahnemann got to know about minimum dose over 200 years ago, and homeopathy has taken the concept to its ultimate conclusion. This is why homeopathy is safe medicine. But ConMed is welcome to the party, better late than never!

Suffering from Allergy? Try Homeopathy

People suffering from allergy, of one form or another, are on the increase. In fact, allergies are now reaching epidemic levels, even though it is a relatively 'new' condition.

A Parliamentary Science and Technology Committee report, in 2007, said that about one-third of the UK population would develop allergy of some kind during their lifetime, and that allergic diseases had trebled during the previous 20 years.

So Dana Ullman's article on Allergy, at http://www.huffingtonpost.com/dana-ullman/homeopathy-for-allergies_b_320998.html, makes for re-assuring reading. There is a safe way of treating allergies, homeopathy, and there is an 'evidence base' supporting homeopathic treatment.

This is important for allergy sufferers, for allergic reactions can kill, and ailments like hayfever, asthma and other debilitating conditions can cause serious life-long problems.
